NGSS serves as a united platform for geology students across Nepal. It’s membership includes students pursuing M.Sc. in Geology and M.Sc. in Engineering Geology from both the Central Department of Geology (CDG) and Tri-Chandra Multiple Campus in Kathmandu.

Additionally, B.Sc. Geology students in their fourth year from institutions such as Central Campus of Technology (CCT) in Dharan, Prithvi Narayan (P.N.) Campus in Pokhara, Birendra Multiple Campus in Chitwan, and Tri-Chandra Multiple Campus in Kathmandu are also integral members of the society.
