The Central Department of Geology, Tribhuvan University, in strategic collaboration with the Nepal Geological Student Society (NGSS), successfully convened Department Day–2082 on 2082-09-03 at its premises in Kirtipur.

Held under the overarching theme
“Connecting Past, Celebrating Present, Building Futures” 
The occasion served as a dynamic platform to honor the department’s legacy, acknowledge contemporary advancements, and envision a sustainable future through geoscience.

The program was graced by the esteemed presence of Prof. Dr. Deepak AryalVice Chancellor, Tribhuvan University, as the Chief Guest. His participation underscored the university’s steadfast commitment to advancing geoscience education, research, and institutional excellence.

The event also witnessed the active engagement of eminent faculty members and department heads from various institutes and campuses under the Institute of Science and Technology (IoST), alongside distinguished guests, alumni, and a large cohort of budding geoscientists. Their presence reflected the strong interdisciplinary collaboration and institutional unity that define Tribhuvan University.

Academic dialogues, interactive exhibitions, and institutional networking collectively highlighted the department’s pursuit of excellence in earth sciences and its integral role within the broader scientific and academic community.
