It is a great honor to welcome you to the official platform of the Nepal Geological Students’ Society (NGSS). For over three decades since its establishment in 1990, NGSS has served as a dynamic and collaborative community for geology students across Nepal, promoting academic excellence, leadership, and a shared commitment to advancing the geosciences both locally and globally.

In an era of rapid environmental change, increasing geological hazards, and expansive development, the role of geoscientists has never been more critical. Understanding Earth’s processes is essential for sustainable development, disaster risk reduction, climate resilience, and responsible resource management—challenges that resonate across borders.

At NGSS, we are dedicated to empowering the next generation of geoscientists. Through capacity-building programs, field-based learning, research support, and professional training, we strive to bridge the gap between academia and industry. Our goal is to ensure that every member is equipped with the knowledge, skills, and ethical foundation needed to address real-world challenges with confidence and integrity.
