Share now On the occasion of the 28th National Earthquake Safety Day 2082, the Nepal Geological Society (NGS) and the Nepal Geological Students’ Society (NGSS) jointly organized and operated an awareness stall at the conference convened by Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) at Bhugol Park, New Road. The program was graced by the esteemed presence of Hon. Om Prakash Aryal, Minister of Home Affairs, Government of Nepal, as the Chief Guest. His participation underscored the government’s commitment to disaster risk reduction, seismic resilience, and community-centered preparedness. The minister’s address emphasized the need for intergovernmental coordination, institutionalizing local efforts, and effective implementation of early warning systems.
